Crow switches positions

Third year sophomore Gray Crow has been switched to a tight end.

Gray Crow will no longer compete to be Miami's quarterback of the future. That's because he was switched to tight end on the school's official roster today.

Crow, 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, was a lightly recruited quarterback out of Clearwater's Countryside High a few years ago.

After redshirting his first year in 2012, Crow was able to see the field a little bit while playing behind Stephen Morris and Ryan Williams last season. He played in two games, completing 6-of-8 passes for 55 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Crow, who projects as more of an H-Back in the current offense, is now one of six scholarship tight ends on the current roster.

Incoming freshmen Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier will now compete to play backup to whichever of the three primary contenders wins the starting quarterback job.
