Midwest: 2016 Prospects to Watch at Camps

Camp month is when prospects can go from under the radar to firmly on the radar. Here are nine players in the 2016 class from the Midwest who are already being recruited by FBS schools, but could see the arrival of more offers in the month of June.

Desmond Fitzpatrick, wide receiver, Farmington (Mich.)
Fitzpatrick already impressed last year at camps, earning several offers, but he's bigger, stronger and faster this year. He is also camping at a lot of schools in hopes of adding offers. He will be at Kentucky, Notre Dame, Purdue, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State,Florida State, Tennessee, Louisville and possibly others, and it would be surprising if one or a few didn't end up offering.

Sean Foster, offensive tackle, Mundelein Carmel (Ill.)
Foster, like Fitzpatrick, has added weight, which schools want to see. He has a massive frame at 6-foot-8 and can bend and move that frame better than most that size. Now he's added some bulk and is ready to show coaches at Michigan State, Iowa and Notre Dame what the several schools who have offered him have already seen.

Jake Heinrich, guard, Urbandale (Ia.)
Heinrich is a powerful, technically sound 6-foot-4, 280-pound kid who emerged at this spring's NIKE Football Training Camp. Still looking for his first offer, he will camp at Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska and Iowa State.

Matt Falcon, running back, Southfield (Mich.)
After missing his sophomore season with an injury, Falcon is ready to explode and recently picked up his first few offers including Ohio State and Cincinnati. He's healthy and ready to show the big time talent folks who have seen him in action know he has. He will be on the Rising Stars bus tour which will get him to Ohio State, Wake Forest, NC State and more and he's a good bet to pick up some offers along the way.

Ethan Tucky, linebacker, Delaware Hayes (Ohio)
Because he played with his hand down a lot last season, schools want to see Tucky in action as a linebacker this Summer, a position he has been working hard on. If his track results are any indication (10.94 100m), speed should not be a problem. Recently the recipient of a Boston College offer, Tucky will camp at Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Notre Dame.

Isaiah Nimmers, cornerback, Cedar Rapids Washington (Ia.)
A nice athlete who had a good sophomore season, Nimmers will look to kick his recruitment into gear this June. He will camp at Iowa, Northern Iowa, Arkansas and potentially Nebraska and Northern Illinois.

Tristian Pipp, linebacker, Greendale (Wisc.)
Pipp does not have any offers or even a ton of schools looking his way, but he has a nice frame (6'3, 210), a nose for the ball on tape, and the overall tools to catch the attention of coaches come camp.

Bryan Brokop, guard, Lincoln Way-West (Ill.)
Despite his relative inexperience with the game, Brokop showed the athleticism and nastiness, and upside to earn three offers even before he went out and camped. While he does not have his full schedule planned yet, he says he plans on hammering down a date soon.

LaVert Hill, cornerback, Detroit Cass Tech (Mich.)
Hill is the next in a line of D1 corners from the school. He had a good sophomore season, but lack of film has kept offers from coming his way so far, but he's a playmaker with the instincts and athleticism to be a top cover man and schools should see that this summer at Sound Mind, Sound Body and several other camps.
