Pitt To Play Indiana In ACC/Big Ten Challenge

In its second year of participation in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, Pitt will travel to Bloomington to take on Indiana.

ESPN and the ACC announced its pairings for the 2014 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. This time around, Pittsburgh will travel to ESPN on Tuesday, December 2.

The two teams have split the previous eight meetings, 4-4; the last one coming on Dec. 8, 2009 in the Jimmy V Classic in New York. The two teams also met in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament. Pitt's last trip to Bloomington was on Dec. 26, 1941.

In the history of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the ACC leads the all-time series 10-3-2 overall record. In 2013, the two conferences split the series with six wins apiece.

The meeting with Indiana adds to an impressive non-conference slate for Pitt, which includes a trip to the Maui Invitational on November 24-26. Pitt will host one game at the Petersen Events Center, then play three games in Maui, Hawaii. Potential opponents include Arizona, San Diego State, Kansas State, Missouri, BYU, Purdue and host Chaminade.
