Although North Carolina offered Logan Byrd last week, the wheels went in motion about a month ago.

During his spring break, Byrd, a 6-foot-3, 223-pound quarterback from Kathleen (Ga.) Veterans, visited UNC. "They invited me up there," Byrd said.
