Perry Commits

According to IC sources, Devin Perry verbally committed to North Carolina before concluding his official visit to the school on Sunday.

Heading into the visit, Perry, a 6-foot-2, 176-pound wide receiver from Memphis (Tenn.) University School, had narrowed his focus to UNC, TCU and Vanderbilt, but admitted UNC had become a slight leader.

In addition to the aforementioned schools, Perry collected scholarship offers from Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Wake Forest throughout the recruiting process.

As a senior, Perry had 51 catches for 1,100 yards and ten touchdowns.

Gunter Brewer recruited Perry for UNC. Brewer's father, Billy, coached Perry's father, Mario, at Ole Miss.
