"... I'm not very pleased -- not very pleased with our intensity, with our effort, with our concentration. I thought it was just ridiculous in the first half. The second half we tried harder. You have to be tough enough to step up and make shots. I'm tired of talking about free throws - you have to be tough enough to step up and make the daggum thing or go play soccer ...
Any chance Leslie coming back maybe had a negative impact?
"No, that's a bunch of garbage. The guys have got to get out there and box out and go after the daggum basketball instead of letting people run right by you and get the daggum rebound every time. We had eight turnovers they turned it into 12 points. Leslie was a positive. It didn't have anything to do with Leslie being a negative."
What was the timeline for when you found out Leslie was going to play tonight?
"We had an inkling of it the last 36 to 48 hours and I found out for sure this afternoon."
Did you think you might hear something on both Leslie and P.J.?
"I have no idea, guys. I mean, come on. I have been sitting here since June. When they tell me something I'm going to play the people."
How did the officials explained the contact technical?
"I thought the young man from Texas threw an elbow and that was the only contact, but they looked at it on tape and in their opinion we fouled and there was a dead ball technical against them. It would have been nice if it had just been the dead ball technical, there's no question, since he made both free throws, but it would have also been nice if we had boxed out the shooter on the free throw at the end -- which we work on every day."
What do you know about Joel James's injury?
"I think at this time it's all guesswork until they do the MRI. Doug (the trainer) said he thinks it looks like the MCL. The ACL looks like it's ok. He thinks it's the MCL and we'll just have to wait until we do the MRI."
