Game Result: lost to Rock Hill (S.C.) Northwestern, 38-17.
Statistics: rushed for 189 yards and a one-yard touchdown on 36 carries.
Notes: Hood broke the Mecklenburg County career rushing yard record (6,003). It was held by former Tar Heel Ryan Houston, who rushed for 5,948 yards.
Quotable: "It's like we said all week: we weren't going to stop [Hood]," Northwestern head coach Kyle Richardson told the Charlotte Observer. "We just had to try to find a way for him, bottom line, not to beat us and that's what we did. If you'd have told me going into the game that our defense was only going to give up one touchdown, I'd have taken it all day."

"They blitzed the linebackers and we couldn't pick them up," Charlotte Catholic head coach Jim Oddo told the Charlotte Observer. "We just couldn't block that... [Hood] had a rough night. He earned every... yard he got tonight."

Statistics: rushed for 220 yards on 15 carries and four touchdowns.
Quotable: "I don't know [what makes Stewart so productive]," Yorktown head coach Bruce Hanson told the Washington Post. "He's good, he's going to be tough to stop all year. We've got a pretty good player in M.J., so he makes us good."

"It's always my offensive line," Stewart told the Washington Post. "Once they get me past the line of scrimmage, it's not hard to do the rest from there. The wide receivers did a great job of blocking, they gave me open holes."
