It came down to location for Terry Googer and Columbia, S.C. only being two hours apart helped South Carolina edge out Miami and Ole Miss. Googer breaks down his commitment here...

The recruiting process is over for 2014 athlete Terry Googer.

The 6-foot-3, 212 pound senior out of Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy weighed his options, took many visits, and on Friday, he announced that he would continue his football career at the University of South Carolina.

Scout caught up with the new Gamecock to discuss his decision and he talks about family, how location played a big role in his decision, what position he expects to play at USC, and more.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
