UNC Adds Dancy To Signing Class

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora announced Tuesday the addition of offensive lineman Will Dancy to the 2013 recruiting class.

A native of Graham, N.C., Dancy will join the Tar Heels this fall after earning all-conference honors as a true freshman last season at Eastern Arizona College.

"We're pleased to welcome Will to our program," said head coach Larry Fedora. "He's a native of North Carolina and is eager to compete for playing time this fall. Coach (Chris) Kapilovic did a good job recruiting him back to his home state and we think he's versatile enough to play a variety of interior positions on the offensive line."

Dancy, who measures 6-4, 297 pounds, will compete for playing time at either guard or center. He signed a scholarship agreement Tuesday and plans to enroll in UNC's second session of summer school in June. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt season.

An NCAA academic qualifier out of Southern Alamance High School, Dancy attended Hargrave Military Academy in 2011. He spent the following spring at Iowa Western before transferring to Eastern Arizona.
