UNC-MSU Matchup Announced

The ACC announced the 2013-14 ACC-Big Ten Challenge lineup on Wednesday afternoon. North Carolina will travel to Michigan State on Dec. 4.

UNC and Michigan State have split four games in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Spartans won the first two meetings in 1999-2000 and 2000-01, while the Tar Heels won in 2008-09 and 2009-10.

UNC is 11-3 all-time against Michigan State, including six straight. The Tar Heels are 1-1 in East Lansing, defeating the Spartans, 81-58, in December 1976 and losing, 86-76, in November 2000.

Last season, UNC lost at Indiana, 83-59, and Michigan State lost at Miami, 67-59, in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The Tar Heels are 7-7 overall in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge and 2-4 on the road. This game will mark Carolina's fifth road game in the last seven years in this event.

UNC head coach Roy Williams is 7-3 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The ACC leads the all-time event, 10-3-1.
