Havelock has one of the top high school football programs in North Carolina. Over the years, the Rams have produced several big-time players. Sophomore wide receiver Michael Bowman is the next one.

Havelock won the 3A state championship for the second year in a row in 2012. While the Rams returned many playmakers from their 2011 championship team, they were looking for a No. 1 wide receiver at the beginning of the last season.
