According to a report on Twitter, NC State junior cornerback David Amerson has decided to leave early for the NFL. Darren Heitner, founder of @SportsAgentBlog and a sports business writer for Forbes, posted the news.
"NC State Junior CB David Amerson will enter the NFL Draft. Faxing papers to NFL," tweeted Heitner.
As a junior, Amerson finished the season with 61 tackles, a team-high five interceptions, 17 passes defended, and 12 pass breakups.
Amerson ends his career at NC State as the school's all-time leader in interceptions, and was a consensus All-American in 2011 as a sophomore. He earned second-team All-ACC honors this season.
