UM Hoops Takes Blow

The University of Miami men's basketball team took a big hit today in the form of an injury.

Head coach Jim Larranaga formally announced today that senior center Reggie Johnson will be out 6-8 weeks with a thumb injury.

Johnson has averaged 12.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game for the Hurricanes this season.

He's one of Miami's main players, and his loss could have a big negative effect on the team's performance in the coming weeks and months.
