The Hurricanes are one of the best programs in college football in terms of producing pro players. This year's Pro Bowl roster is a good indicator of that.
Six former Hurricanes have been selected to play in this year's game, which will take place on January 27th.
RB Frank Gore -- One of the game's top all-around running backs because of his ability to block and catch, Gore has rushed for 1,146 yards and seven touchdowns for one of the league's best teams in San Fran.
WR Andre Johnson -- After battling injuries most of last season, Johnson has returned to elite status this year. He has 100 receptions for 1,457 yards and four touchdowns for the Texans.
WR Reggie Wayne -- The year Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning leaves town, Wayne has produced his second best season as a pro. He has 102 catches for 1,315 yards and five touchdowns. He's been rookie Andrew Luck's favorite target from day one.
OL Chris Myers -- The anchor of what many believe is the best offensive line in all of football, Myers has developed into one of the game's premier centers.
DT Vince Wilfork -- Widely considered the game's best nose tackle, Wilfork anchors the middle of New England's front. He has 43 tackles and two sacks but his ability to eat up multiple blockers is a thing of beauty.
FS Ed Reed -- Even at age 34, Reed is still one of the best in football. He's helped lead a Ravens defense that has helped them into the playoffs. He has 58 tackles and four interceptions.
