"It was a really great visit, it definitely moved them back into my top teams," said Calloway. "Seeing the depth chart was really big, I liked it down there."
"They told me I would be competing for a starting spot at safety next year," said Calloway. "They run a Steelers type of defense, they want to have me coming off the edge and they love my athleticism. They said they don't have any defensive backs that are capable of doing what I can do athletically."
Calloway is familiar with the program and is already close with SMU quarterback commit and Kolney Cassel. After the visit, he felt like he was close with players already in the program.
"They took me to some of best restaurants in Dallas, I stayed in a nice hotel," said Calloway. "But being with my host and the players was great. They are a close knit family and I felt like a teammate, I could see myself there."
Calloway couldn't see himself in Dallas just more than a week ago, but things have changed drastically.
"Before the visit no, but they opened a spot up," said Calloway. "They were going to take a JUCO guy, but now they want me and so I took the official. In January the coaches will come and see me."
Calloway plans on staying busy for the rest of the month of December.
"I am visiting Southern Miss next weekend. That could be it for now, I am not sure right now," said Calloway. "I want to make a decision after the Semper Fi All-American game. I will have a press conference, probably the second week in January."
So are those his final two schools?
