Winston Salem, N.C. – Saturday's win against Concord marked back-to-back state championships for Havelock High School. Thanks to second half explosion led by junior running back Derrell Scott, the Rams went on to win 55-21.

At halftime of the 3A North Carolina state championship game, Havelock trailed Concord 21-20. It was an unfamiliar spot for the Rams and they responded in the half, scoring 35 unanswered points.
