Meeks Commits to UNC


Kennedy Meeks is a Tar Heel. The West Charlotte (N.C.) center announced his decision Friday on national television.

The 6-9, 280-pounder is ranked the No. 2 center in the senior class and No. 32 prospect overall by

Meeks will join two other members of the Class of 2013 who signed on Wednesday -- Oxford (N.C.) Webb power forward Isaiah Hicks and Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill point guard Nate Britt.

Meeks indicated he picked UNC because he felt comfortable there. "The atmosphere, the fans, the alumni, the teammates," he explained during the ESPNU telecast. "It just all fit in. Makes me feel like high school again."
