defeated Brunswick, 49-21.
Statistics: completed 18-of-22 passes for 298 yards and five touchdowns (3, 33, 16, 24, and 25 yards). He also rushed 11 times for 90 yards and a two-yard score.
Quotable: "He's pretty good, huh?" Mentor coach Steve Trivisonno told the News-Herald. "He's special. He's a complete player. He can run or pass it. He's awfully darn smart, too."

"We're still climbing up the stairs," Trubisky told the News-Herald. "We're still progressing. We're getting better each and every week. That game is far behind us. We're looking foward to making a run toward the playoffs."
