Desir Transferring

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- According to multiple sources, senior linebacker Fabby Desir is expected to transfer.

Desir, a junior college transfer from Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna College, was a late addition to UNC's 2011 recruiting class. The 6-foot, 225-pounder was listed as Kevin Reddick's backup at middle linebacker in UNC's media guide.

The son of Haiti emigrants starred as a running back and defensive back at Scranton (Pa.) High School, but academics forced him to go the JUCO route.

Desir missed the final two games of 2011 after tearing a groin muscle against Virginia Tech. He played in ten games for UNC, accumulating 15 tackles. Recommended Stories
