Bunn, Virgile

GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Defensive reserves D.J. Bunn and Keeon Virgile are no longer on the North Carolina football team, a UNC official confirmed on Sunday.

Bunn, a junior from Smithfield, N.C., was listed as second on the depth chart at free safety on UNC's post-spring two-deep released in April. He enrolled in January 2010 and appeared in nine games as a freshman on special teams, registering four tackles. In 2011, Bunn played in six games and registered six tackles. He had seven tackles in the 2012 Spring Game.

Virgile, a North Miami Beach, Fla., redshirted his freshman season in 2011. He registered five tackles and a sack in UNC's Spring Game and was listed as the co-backup middle linebacker at the conclusion of spring practice.
