Schedule Set For ACC Baseball Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the times for the 2012 ACC Baseball Championship on Sunday and the second-seeded Tar Heels will begin play on Wednesday when they take on No. 7 Wake Forest at 7 p.m. at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C.

The Tar Heels open against the Demon Deacons on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will return to action on Thursday at 3 p.m. when they face Miami.

After a day off on Friday the Tar Heels will close out pool play on Saturday at 7 p.m. against NC State.

North Carolina is a member of Pool B along with Wake Forest, Miami and NC State, while Pool B is comprised of Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Virginia.

The winner of each pool will meet in the championship game on Sunday at 12 noon.

All 13 games of this year's ACC Baseball Championship will be televised for the sixth straight year. RSN, a regional network that covers the entire conference footprint, will carry 12 total games on Wednesday through Saturday.

Sunday's noon championship game will televised nationally by ESPN2.

All games will be live-streamed via the Internet by ESPN3. In addition, Sirius 93 will broadcast all 13 games live via satellite radio, and every game with exception of the Wednesday and Friday 7 p.m. games will also be broadcast live via satellite radio on XM 190.
