Singleton Commits

According to sources close to the situation, Kendrick Singleton has switched his verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Singleton, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound wide receiver from Glen St. Mary (Fla.) Baker County, is in Chapel Hill this weekend for an official visit.

He originally committed to Southern Miss, under Larry Fedora. When Fedora left for UNC, Singleton began to explore his options, taking official visits to Florida International, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee, and Troy.

Singleton eventually verbally committed to Middle Tennessee, but honored his plans to officially visit UNC.

His senior season at Baker County, Singleton had 60 catches for 1,085 yards and 16 touchdowns, making him the school's all-time leading receiver and earning Second Team All-State honors.
