Opening comments:
"I thought that in the first half that we were really good, except for making shots. I think we were 18 of 35 inside the three-second lane, and you've got to make a better percentage than that. We were three for nine on threes, and I thought that eight of the nine were really good shots. They just didn't go down. So we didn't shoot it very well, but I thought we were really good, defensively. We were attentive. We were really good on the backboards. The second half, you know, it's like it happens most of the time, We weren't quite as effective as we were in the first half. You've got to give Elon credit for continuing to play and doing some nice things. In the second half, they shot 46 percent, so we didn't do as good of a job guarding them as we did in the first half. And they made some shots too. At halftime, they were two for 15 from the three-point line. They shoot 36 or 37 percent for the year from the three-point line, so we know they are better shooters than that.

"I was happy for Harrison [Barnes], particularly, with 18 points and five assists, zero turnovers. In the first half he had four assists and zero turnovers. I think that makes our team a lot more effective. He was sick last night. He was throwing up, so we didn't know exactly what we were going to get. I do like the fact that Dexter [Strickland] played 25 [minutes] and we only had three other guys to play over 20: Harrison, 20; 'Z', 22 and Kendall [Marshall], 22. So I like that balance. We got some guys some time, but our goal was to get a heck of a lot better, and I do think we made some significant steps tonight."

On the situation leading to the cheerleader taking a fall after a referee backed into her partner:
"Just a little bit of confusion would be my read on between the timeout coordinator, the officials and the clock. We wanted to sub and keep playing... Then they said we needed to go to commercial and take the TV timeout, which I didn't like, but that's okay. Then all of a sudden, they said, 'No, you don't,' so we were coming out. So there was some confusion going on. There's nobody to blame, but it's just an extremely unfortunate situation and I hope the young lady is okay."

Did you have to run any sluggishness out of the guys after returning from the break?
"Not really. We had five days [off] and Harrison comes in and says, 'Man, Coach, look at that practice plan.' And I said, 'Yeah, it looks easy to me, doesn't it to you?' And he said, 'No.' It just depends on which side of the whistle you're on. But we didn't run anybody to death. I asked them to push themselves and try and do a better job of getting in better shape and stamina.

"We came back at seven o'clock on Tuesday night. We started at 7pm with our stretching and finished at 9:05pm. I think we got some good things going and came in [Wednesday] a little earlier and had some good practice then, too. We have eight practices and three games before we have to go to class. I shouldn't say it like that. I apologize to my Chancellor. Before we get to go back to class, but right now we have an opportunity to focus on basketball, so let's do a better job of it."

On his illness:
"A little stomach virus. I was sick last night throwing up. It wasn't good... [My status] was up in the air a little bit, but just constant medication and drinking a lot of fluids allowed me to be able to play."

Would your status have been a question if you were playing Duke?
"No, it wouldn't have been a question. But it's a little earlier [in the season], so you still have some time to consider whether or not."

JOHN HENSON

On the team's approach to this game:
"We just want to get better as a team. Elon's a pretty good team, so I think we were ready mentally for them and came out and played how we wanted to at the beginning of the first half and it just carried on."

Was it tough to get back in the swing of things after the break?
"It wasn't that difficult just because I missed playing basketball, playing with my teammates and being with my teammates, so I think it kind of showed out there tonight."

TYLER ZELLER

John Henson said once you get 10 rebounds, it becomes easy to do it. Is that true?
"No, not at all. It is for him because he's so long. John actually hasn't stolen any of my rebounds recently, so that's probably why I'm getting more. But we have fun with it. Both of us just try to get as many rebounds as possible and try to help our team."

Did it make the team mad to be outrebounded five times earlier in the season?
"It made Coach mad, so it made us mad that he was mad. It's something that we've been emphasizing a lot recently. We know we can be a great rebounding team and I think we can even get better from where we are now."
