On Nov. 13 at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill, the men’s basketball team from N.C. Central will visit North Carolina’s Tar Heels in a preseason exhibition game, Eagles coach Phil Spence said Wednesday.
The contest will be played before the official debut of former Kansas coach Roy Williams as UNC’s head coach, and it will be NCCU coach and former N.C. State forward Spence’s first crack at the Tar Heels as a coach.
"Roy always scrimmaged a [Division II] team from Kansas," Spence said. "He wanted to continue that tradition and gave me a call. It’s a win-win situation for us regardless of the outcome of the game."
