Nebraska QB to transfer to UNC or Duke

Posted May 28, 2003

Curt Dukes, a former Newton-Conover quarterback, has received a release from his football scholarship at Nebraska and will transfer to Duke or North Carolina, his father said yesterday.

Dukes - who redshirted last year but shared the No. 2 quarterback spot on the Cornhuskers' depth chart after spring practice - must sit out one year and will have three years of eligibility left when he returns to the field in 2004.
