CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Inside Carolina's Monday press conference coverage includes quotes and audio from head coach Everett Withers, Bryn Renner, Tydreke Powell and James Hurst.

EVERETT WITHERS

How important is it for UNC to run the ball well this weekend?
"The bottom line when you play a team like Georgia Tech is that you want to win the time of possession. You may not win it, but when you're moving the ball, running the ball, at the end of those drives we need points and we really need six. Because the more you can drive the ball down and get six, the better chance you have with this offense. So that's going to be a goal this week, to try to score touchdowns when we get down into the red zone. When we get into position to score, we need to score touchdowns this week, so yes, that will be a big emphasis."

On Casey Barth:
"With that strained groin, probably this week we'll hold him and then we'll evaluate through our sports medicine staff after that to see what his status will be.

Is his injury related to his thigh injury of a couple of weeks ago?
"I think it's just a culmination of a lot of different things. I think it's just more of a strain. We just felt like to get him for the long run that we didn't need to put him out on the field."

On Todd Harrelson:
"Todd is suspended indefinitely and we'll make a determination as we go on what his status will be... We sat down Friday -- myself and Mr. Baddour -- and we really just came to the conclusion to do this on Friday afternoon. We felt like this was best for our University and best for our team."

On ACC expansion:
"If we're not playing them this week, I don't have a whole lot of reaction."

On Jabari Price:
"Hopefully we can get Jabari back into some football activity this week. We'll make a determination late in the week -- Thursday, Friday -- on his status and just go from there."

BRYN RENNER
Listen to Audio (8:13)

On film review from Virginia:
"I thought we did a fairly decent job. There are definitely areas we need to correct. The fumble on the one-yard-line is just unacceptable. But we did a lot of things well and we got the victory, so it was good."

On what the offense must do against Georgia Tech:
"The stats they've put up in the last three games -- they're fascinating. We've got our work cut out for us and we need to have a great week of practice. But definitely ball control and keep ing the ball in our hands is key in the game coming up on Saturday. We're going to try to do everything possible just to keep the ball in our hands because they have an explosive offense and a very good defense."

TYDREKE POWELL
Listen to Audio (4:40)

On preparing for Georgia Tech's offense:
"It's definitely different. We're going to go out tomorrow and have a productive practice and get our offense going to help us stay off the field."

Does it make it that much more difficult when Tevin Washington adds a passing element to the offense?
"Yes, just watching the film, their quarterback can definitely spin that thing."

JAMES HURST
Listen to Audio (3:35)

Coach Withers doesn't seem to pay much attention to expansion or the NCAA investigation. Does that filter down to the players?
"I think so. Coach WIthers is our guy and we're behind him 130 percent, but I think just being focused on our team and being focused on our next opponent is a big part of being ready for the game. Not worrying about things that are out of our control, which I think a lot of that stuff is, and I think that's just going to help us down the road."

Will you read the response when it's released?
"I'll probably hear about it before I actually read it. But depending on what I hear about it will be whether or not I read it. Obviously it's something that affects us, but since there's nothing we can do about it, you can't make it a big part of us."
