With two years of eligibility remaining plus a red-shirt season, Williams plans on enrolling at UNC in January for the spring semester. He graduated from Coffeyville in December.
Williams didn’t begin playing football until his senior year at Jefferson City (Mo.) High School. After graduating in 2008, he worked in a factory before enrolling at Coffeyville in January ’09.
After two seasons at Coffeyville, Williams collected a plethora of scholarship offers, including all four of the schools he officially visited.
Williams ended the 2010 season with first team all-conference and first team all-region recognition and was nominated to the All-American team. In eleven games, he accumulated 52 tackles (19 solo), including 12.5 for a loss and two sacks, two pass break-ups, a forced fumble, and five blocked kicks.
