Opening Comments -
"We're extremely happy to have the win. I really like Lipscomb's team - tough team to guard with a big guy inside and they've got four shooters.

"John Henson made it tough for them inside. Our defense in the second half I thought was so much better ... and we didn't let them get as many open looks. I like to have five guys in double figures. We need to do a better job of not turning the ball over - we had a stretch where our guys lost a little focus.

"It was an 11- or 12-point game and somebody said 'Let's finish them off' and I said 'That's not your attitude, your attitude should be to play every single possession to the best of your ability.'

"Again, some good things. Harrison looked a little more comfortable again tonight. John, again, 17 rebounds and 7 blocked shots. Z didn't make a lot of the shots he normally makes but I thought he was effective for us. Guys coming off the bench - Leslie may have made the biggest shot of the game. They cut it to three and Leslie made a jumper inside the lane and he had made a three before that.

"It was something that I thought was good for all of us. We've got to finish the game better by making our free throws. All in all it's a 'W' and I do feel good about it."

After John Henson's struggles last season, do you think this was a new beginning for him?
"I think that really came during the NIT last year. He feels so much more comfortable and confident now and realizes what his game is. He is much more comfortable in what we're asking him to do, but I do believe it started last year with the postseason run."

You've said Harrison Barnes doesn't need to dominate the ball to be effective and that was very apparent tonight ...
"He's got a chance to be a heck of a player. He's a natural scorer and as the game goes along and he gets more comfortable out there I think the game will come easier to him. He's trying to adapt to new teammates and what we're able to do...

"It's hard for us, think about it - we've lost 12 players in the last two years. We lost six off that '09 team and we lost six off last year's team. So there is some change and we're asking the freshmen - Harrison, Reggie and Kendall - to step up and do some things they're going to get more comfortable with as time goes on."

Kendall Marshall looks comfortable out there, and you put him in the game in the final minute ...
"I didn't feel too comfortable when he threw those two away, but I gave him a chance at the end of the game when the game was on the line and that should give him some confidence. He's a true quarterback. I'm yelling 'Attack!' - I didn't want us to run the clock out - and he made a nice bounce pass to Z for a dunk."

What was key for you tonight ...
"Just being active and having a lot of energy. As a team I think we have a lot of scorers and we need someone to get the rebounds, so I kind of have in my head that that's what I'm trying to contribute the most out of everything - rebounding and blocks."

After everything you went through changing positions and the team's struggles, did tonight feel like a new beginning for you?
"Yes it did, because we just needed to get the bad taste out of our mouths because it was a rough season last year. It was a new beginning for all of us, and I think we're off to a good start and hopefully we'll build on this."

Are you and John learning to play off one another more when you're in the game together?
"We play together pretty much every day in practice. It's one of those things that over time you you've got to learn to get better and better at it and hopefully by the end of the season we'll be very good at it."

Do you think this team can become known as a very good shotblocking team or was tonight an anomaly?
"I think we can be. Definitely John's a very good shotblocker. I can cause problems by blocking shots or taking charges. Justin Knox can block shots and even Justin Watts can block shots every now and then. We're a big team, and everyone has the potential to block shots, but I think as the teams get better we won't be able to block as many as we did tonight."
