Like the first two NIT games against DePaul and Wyoming, most of the tickets
for the NIT third-round game will be general admission, meaning
three-quarters of the lower level seats and rows E-Y of the upper level will
be first-come, first-served. Only sections 105-112 (behind the two team
benches) will be reserved in the lower level. Smith Center doors will open
at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Tickets for Wednesday's game are $15 for the general public and $5 for UNC
students. Students may purchase up to four (4) student tickets with each UNC
OneCard. Student riser seating will NOT be in effect for the game.
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, March 25, at 8 a.m. They may be
purchased over the phone by calling the UNC Ticket Office at 1-800-722-4335
or 919-962-2296 or by fax at 919-962-5529. Tickets may also be purchased at
the Smith Center box office on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on
Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The box office will reopen on Wednesday
at 5 p.m. for will-call and ticket sales.
Fans who wish to pick up tickets in advance are encouraged to purchase
tickets in person at the Smith Center Tuesday or early Wednesday.
Fans are also strongly encouraged to use the bus shuttle system. Tar Heel
Express buses will operate from their traditional four locations from
approximately 1.5 hours prior to game time to just after tip-off, with
return trips to the lots immediately following the game. The four
traditional park and ride lots are as follows: (1) Highway 54 park and ride
lot, (2) University Mall near Belks, (3) Southern Village and (4) Jones
Ferry Road. The cost is $5 per person round trip.
The Highway 54 park and ride lot is located off the Friday Center Drive on
the left, just off of Highway 54 East. University Mall is located off 15-501
South on the right traveling from Durham. Southern Village is located just
off 15-501 South as you are traveling from Pittsboro on the edge of Chapel
Hill. Carrboro Plaza park and ride is located off Highway 54 west in
