CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina linebacker Shane Mularkey had his left shoulder repaired by Dr. Alex Creighton at UNC Hospitals on Thursday, Oct. 7.

Mularkey, a sophomore from Norcross, Ga., will miss the remainder of the season. Mularkey played in the first two games of the season vs. LSU and Georgia Tech.

Carolina defensive tackle Greg Elleby had his left knee reconstructed by Dr Jeff Spang at UNC Hospitals on Friday, Oct. 8. Elleby will miss the remainder of the season after tearing two ligaments (ACL and MCL) in Carolina’s 42-17 win over East Carolina on Oct. 2.

A senior from Tabor City, N.C., Elleby has played on both the offensive and defensive line in his career at UNC. This season, he played the first game at offensive tackle and then moved to defensive tackle for the next three contests.
